DESCRIPTION:Finding relief from the pain is a daily challenge for people living with persistent musculoskeletal pain. In this webinar, Dr Caroline West talks about non-opioid pain management, the different strategies to help manage pain and to be able to do what is most important to you. This can include both medicine and non-medicine options, such as changing the way you think about pain, mindfulness techniques and physical therapies.\nOur presenter: Dr Caroline West is a GP and medical advisor for NPS MedicineWise. She has a special interest in chronic pain and lifestyle medicine. Throughout her career she has been a strong advocate for a better understanding and management options for chronic pain. She is the past president of the Australasian society of Lifestyle Medicine and she is a past ambassador for Chronic Pain Australia and has been the contributing author on Chronic Pain for the Lifestyle Medicine Textbook available globally. Dr Caroline West is also a well known TV doctor and health broadcaster and is currently the host of ABC TV’s Ask the Doctor.
