SUMMARY:Diagnosis and Management of Rheumatoid Arthritis
DESCRIPTION:\nBeing diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis may be both a blessing and a curse. A blessing to know what is causing the fatigue and pain and a curse because at present it still requires lifelong treatment. The good news is that there are good treatments that can control the disease and prevent progression to permanent damage. Dr Racunica will use patient cases, to discuss the diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.\nOur presenter: Dr Tina Racunica is a consultant rheumatologist and the Director of Southern Rheumatology, her private rooms. She treats adult rheumatological conditions including the inflammatory arthritides, other connective tissue diseases, musculoskeletal complaints, and osteoporosis. She is also qualified in musculoskeletal ultrasound and incorporates this in her practice. Her main focus is in clinical practice. Tina trained in Rheumatology and completed her Physician training gaining her RACP Fellowship in Melbourne at the Alfred Hospital and Monash Medical Centre after completing her medical degree at Sydney University in 1999. Prior to this she was a pharmacist in the RAAF and also worked in several hospital and retail pharmacies.\nHave you checked out our series before? \nWe have a huge list of interesting webinars from 2021 and 2022 with links to the FREE recordings!
