DESCRIPTION:\nThis webinar will discuss the key features that suggest a clinical diagnosis of hip/knee osteoarthritis in a person with persistent joint pain. It will also focus on the important role that lifestyle strategies play in managing the condition, with a particular emphasis on exercise, weight control and other self-management strategies\nOur presenter: Rana Hinman is a research physiotherapist and Deputy Director of the Centre for Health, Exercise & Sports Medicine at the University of Melbourne. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health & Medical Sciences, and a current National Health & Medical Research Council Senior Research Fellow. Rana’s research is centred on clinical trials of lifestyle management for hip and knee osteoarthritis, in particular exercise, rehabilitation and biomechanical treatments.
