Crunchy marshmallow snacks

Kitty’s rustic, homemade nibbles are a fun recipe to make with kids and a decadent treat to share with friends and family.

Time: ~45mins
Serving : ~20 pieces

  • 150g marshmallows (without the powder coating)
  • 100g salted crackers
  • 4 chocolate biscuits (either milk or dark)
  • 10g butter

  1. Prepare a baking pan with baking paper.
  2. Using scissor, cut the marshmallows into smaller pieces, approximately 2cm thick in width with 3-4 cm long in length.
  3. Put crackers and chocolate biscuits into a bowl and crack them randomly.
  4. Melt the butter in a non-stick frying pan over low heat.
  5. Put the marshmallows into the melted butter. Stir constantly with a non-stick spatula.
  6. Stir until the marshmallows are fully melted and runny.
  7. Add cracked crackers and biscuits into the melted marshmallow mixture.
  8. Mix them evenly and quickly to prevent burning.
  9. Put the mixed marshmallow and cracker into the baking paper.
  10. Gently press the mix with the spatula until smooth and even – approximately 3cm thick.
  11. Allow to cool down. Then cut with knife into the size you prefer.
  12. Ready to serve!

  1. You can use different types of crackers or biscuits to suit your tastes.
  2. You can sprinkle shredded coconut on top after adding the mixture to the baking tray.
  3. You can also add nuts or dried fruit when you add the crackers to the marshmallow mix.
