Diagnosis and Lifestyle Management of Hip/Knee Osteoarthritis
This webinar will discuss the key features that suggest a clinical diagnosis of hip/knee osteoarthritis in a person with persistent joint pain. It will also focus on the important role that lifestyle strategies play in managing the condition, with a particular emphasis on exercise, weight control and other self-management strategies
Our presenter: Rana Hinman is a research physiotherapist and Deputy Director of the Centre for Health, Exercise & Sports Medicine at the University of Melbourne. She is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health & Medical Sciences, and a current National Health & Medical Research Council Senior Research Fellow. Rana’s research is centred on clinical trials of lifestyle management for hip and knee osteoarthritis, in particular exercise, rehabilitation and biomechanical treatments. Her research has a strong focus on methods to increase patient access to care, including telehealth and digital health strategies.
